Scientific name: Macromia urania

Habitat: woodland stream with sandy substrate

Body length: 66-69 mm

Distribution in Hong Kong: Mainly in north New Territories, e.g. Sha Lo Tung, Hok Tau, Wu Kau Tang

Flight period in Hong Kong: April to October

Similar species: Regal Pond Cruiser, Angle-winged Cruiser, South China Cruiser (Comparison)

Identification features: 

1. Antehumeral stripes on synthorax, but thinner than those of Regal Pond Cruiser

2. Two yellow spots on the dorsum and abdomen of the 8th abdominal segment respectively
