Scientific name: Anaciaeschna jaspidea

Habitat: marsh

Body length: 61-64 mm

Distribution in Hong Kong: mainly in northern New Territories, such as Mai Po, Long Valley, San Tin, Luk Keng

Flight period in Hong Kong: May to October

Identification features:

1. Eyes in mature male blue,  in mature females usually green but muddy yellow or pale blue for some individuals, in subadult pink

2. Two yellow stripes at two sides of synthorax respectively

3. Abdomen reddish brown with yellowish white spots on two sides
