Scientific name: Burmagomphus vermicularis

Habitat: slowing-flowing small stream

Body length: 37-45 mm

Distribution in Hong Kong: Mainly in north New Territories, e.g. Hok Tau, Tan Shan River 

Flight period in Hong Kong: April to August

Identification features:

1.  “人”-shaped yellow spot on synthorax

2. Yellow stripe on mesepisternum connects with yellow stripe extending from middle legs

3. The 1st to 7th  and 9th abdominal segment with yellow spots of similar size at the dorsum

4. The 7th to 9th abdominal segment swollen in male
