Flight period in Hong Kong: April to September

Identification features (male):

1. “!!”-shaped blue stripes at dorsum of synthroax 

Identification features (male)(subadult):

1. A pair of “J”-shaped yellow spots in opposite direction at dorsum of synthorax

Identification features (female):

1. Antehumeral stripe yellow, unbroken

2. White-ring spot at the end of 8th abdominal segment

3. White transverse stripe at the end of 9th abdominal segment
