Habitat: pond, reservoir, slow-flowing stream

Body length: 69-71 mm 

Distribution in Hong Kong: Mainly in north and northwest New Territories, e.g. Long Valley, Hong Kong Wetland Park, Luk Keng

Flight period in Hong Kong: April to October

Similar species: Common Flangetail (Comparison)

Identification features: 

1. Femur yellow

2. A pair of black leaf-like projections with yellow spot on the 8th abdominal segment
