Habitat: stream

Body length: 61-71 mm

Distribution  in Hong Kong: Mainly in north New Territories, e.g. Sha Lo Tung, Hok Tau, Wu Kau Tang

Flight period in Hong Kong: March to July

Identification features: 

1. Mesepisternum with a pair of "7"-shaped yellow spots in opposite direction for species found in Hong Kong

2. Three complete yellow stripes at two sides of synthorax respectively for species found in Hong Kong

3. Ninth abdominal segment with a large yellow spot for species found in Hong Kong

4. Inferior anal appendage with similar split angle and length as the paired superior anal appendage for species found in Hong Kong
